We do welcome well-behaved dogs on a lead on the slated area in the bar, and in 2 of our Lakeland Bedrooms which are located on the ground floor of the annex.We offer WiFi access for all guests in the bar area and most bedrooms, but unfortunately it is not currently available in our annex.There are games available in all our bedrooms for the "older" children and also toys and games available for the younger ones in our bar and restaurant area, just ask a member of staff for help!

Probably the hardest thing you'll do here is choose what to eat. To be honest, it's far better to eat the gourmet pub food at the Queen's Head than read about it - safe to say that our chef and kitchen devotees deserve all the accolades they've amassed (though you may not see them on show - they covet only happy diners and their empty plates). Oh, and the beer's pretty good too! Choose from our selection of fine ales standing alongside the regulars at the Four Poster bar from Appleby Castle!

Support for the Mobility Impaired
The lower levels of the inn are fully equipped for anyone who has any moblity issues. There is a large entrance to the front door and the floor throughout is mostly flat, either flagged or carpeted. We have a fully equipped disabled toilet. However, we do have some issues for mobility into the upstairs bedroom area, the most popular route to the rooms do have very steep steps leading up to them, however this issue is combatted as we have a side/back entrance which involves a small hill and a ramp into the upstairs floor. If making a booking, please make us aware of your mobility issues at the time so that we may allocate the most suitable room for you and also so when you arrive we can help you as much as possible.Support for the Visually Impaired
